Turner Padget expands litigation team with additions of Eliza Hudson Lay and Diana L. Murray

Murray to the firm as associates, expanding the firm’s litigation capabilities and strengthening its ability to serve clients throughout South Carolina and North Carolina. Lay joins the firm’s Charleston office, while Murray will work from both the Charlotte and Columbia offices.

About Eliza Lay
Eliza Hudson Lay joins Turner Padget’s Litigation team in Charleston, where she represents clients throughout South Carolina in personal injury defense, premises liability, and construction litigation matters. She works with clients to navigate complex disputes and develop practical strategies tailored to their legal and business needs.
A South Carolina native, Eliza has gained experience in a variety of legal settings throughout the state. During law school, she worked with multiple law firms across South Carolina and developed her passion for litigation during a clerkship with the Honorable Jennifer B. McCoy, Chief Administrative Judge for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, in the Charleston County Circuit Court.
Diana Murray
About Diana Murray
Diana Murray is a member of Turner Padget’s Litigation team and works from the firm’s Charlotte and Columbia offices. She represents businesses and individuals throughout North Carolina and South Carolina in personal injury, premises liability, products liability, business, and professional liability defense matters.
Murray brings more than a decade of experience in the legal field, including 10 years as a litigation paralegal before becoming an attorney. Her practical perspective and strategic approach inform her representation of clients throughout the litigation process. A Charleston native, she earned her undergraduate degree from Charleston Southern University and her law degree from the Charleston School of Law.
Murray is admitted to practice in South Carolina and North Carolina, as well as the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar Ethics Advisory Committee and Professional Responsibility Committee and mentors law students at the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law.
