Nemours Wildlife Foundation names Kristin Williams, President

Nemours Wildlife Foundation announced the selection of Kristin Williams as the organization’s new president. In this role, she will lead the continued growth of the foundation’s research, education, and stewardship programs while building and strengthening relationships with donors, partners, landowners, and the broader community.

As we look to our next chapter, we will pursue modern technologies to understand changes on the landscape and explore how land use practices can adapt to anticipate change,” commented Alex Good, board chair, Nemours Wildlife Foundation. “This work is groundbreaking and requires a leader with abundant passion, strategic focus, and a commitment to bring a diversity of partners together to develop innovative solutions. Kristin is that proven leader. We couldn’t be more excited to engage her in the next chapter for Nemours.”
Prior to joining Nemours Wildlife Foundation, Williams served as executive director of the Open Land Trust in Beaufort, South Carolina. During her tenure, the organization protected thousands of additional acres across the Southern Lowcountry, expanded its conservation work across seven counties, strengthened its financial sustainability, grew its professional staff, launched new stewardship and community initiatives, and built lasting partnerships that have advanced conservation throughout the region.
Before moving to South Carolina, Williams spent more than a decade leading Friends of the Environment, a conservation research and education organization in Abaco, Bahamas. There, she helped expand scientific research initiatives, developed a field research center, advanced environmental education programs, and built partnerships connecting science, conservation, and the local community. Her work also included partnering with National Geographic Expeditions on research and exploration of Abaco’s blue holes.
“Nemours serves as a living laboratory to not only support the understanding and documentation of our ever-changing natural environment, but also to help develop innovative solutions for today’s most significant conservation challenges,” said Williams. “What makes this work especially meaningful is the opportunity to connect research with education and the community, taking what we learn on this landscape and sharing it in ways that inspire curiosity, inform land management, and help people better understand and care for the natural world around them.”
