Community Spirit on Tap: Pawleys Tap House Partners with Friends of the Waccamaw Library

This fall and winter, local craft beer enthusiasts and literacy advocates alike have a compelling reason to gather at Pawleys Tap House & Grill. Owner/Manager Erin Carachilo and the team at Pawleys Tap House(opens in new tab) have officially designated The Friends of the Waccamaw Library (FOWL(opens in new tab)) as their Charity of the Month, kicking off a season-long partnership running from September through December.
A Tradition of Local Support
The partnership launched this September with Pawleys Tap House hosting FOWL’s popular monthly gathering. By partnering with FOWL, Pawleys Tap House is helping fund vital library resources, educational programs, and community initiatives hosted at the Waccamaw Library.
Upcoming Events: October through December
Pawleys Tap House & Grill will host a series of unique, fun-filled events each month to support FOWL. Mark your calendars for these upcoming evening gatherings:
October 7 (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM): FOWL Rants & Reads
Details: Billed as “almost a book club, but not quite,” this relaxed gathering encourages friends to get together, catch up, and discuss any book they want.
Admission: $10 at the door (includes a glass of wine or soda). Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase, with proceeds directly benefiting FOWL.
November 4 (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM): FOWL Play: Music Bingo
Details: Test your musical knowledge! The first 75 players to arrive will receive a complimentary book, and game winners will take home a plant.
Admission: No formal tickets are required, though a $20 donation to FOWL is encouraged (includes a glass of wine or soda).
December 2 (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM): “Make it FOWL” Craft Night
Details: Get crafty for the holidays! Participants will enjoy stitching a hands-on embroidery project. Tote bags will be provided, or attendees can bring their own pre-washed sweater or sweatshirt to customize.
