Birdi Box opens in Lexington, bringing high-tech indoor golf to the Midlands

New indoor golf club on Sunset Blvd. pairs tour-level swing analysis with a laid-back, no-pressure vibe

Birdi Box, a new indoor golf club at 5357 Sunset Blvd., is officially open. A family-run business built on the idea that golf should be accessible and enjoyable, Birdi Box gives golfers of every skill level a place to practice, play, and improve — without the weather, the wait, or the intimidation of a traditional course.

Birdi Box offers three simulator bays open 24/7 for members to book. Each bay is powered by Uneekor EYE XO2 launch monitors, which capture 24 data points on every swing, alongside high-speed Swing Optix cameras, 4K projection, and GSPro virtual golf software. Members can dial in their numbers, work through a practice session, or tee it up for a full virtual round on a world-class course, all under one roof.

“There are a lot of people in Lexington who love golf but don’t love everything that comes with it. The five-hour commitment, the weather, the feeling that everyone’s watching,” said Brett Vigrass, co-founder of Birdi Box. “We built Birdi Box so you can get real work done on your game in the time you actually have. You don’t have to be good at golf to enjoy this place. You just have to want to play.”

According to the National Golf Foundation, 48.1 million Americans played golf in 2025, the most ever, including 19 million who played exclusively off course, at driving ranges, indoor simulators, and golf entertainment venues. Of those 19 million, NGF estimates that 9 million played on simulator ranges.

“Indoor golf isn’t a niche anymore,” Vigrass said. “It’s how a huge number of people are experiencing the game now. Lexington deserves a version of that with real technology behind it.”
