Upstate farm among 20 in North America honoring Dolly Parton with corn maze

September 25, 2026

Golden Strip families looking for a fall outing with a bigger purpose will not have to travel far this year. Stewart Farms in Enoree, a short drive from Fountain Inn, Simpsonville and Mauldin, is one of only 20 farms across North America paying tribute to Dolly Parton with a corn maze cut in the late country music star’s likeness.

The Dolly Parton Corn Maze opens Sept. 26 as part of the farm’s Fall on the Farm season, which runs through Oct. 31. The maze, carved to show Parton’s face and signature smile, features Dolly-themed trivia and photo spots along the way.

A portion of maze proceeds will go to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the program Parton founded to mail free, age-appropriate books to children from birth to age 5. The tribute also marks the program’s 31st anniversary.

The participating farms, located in 15 states and two Canadian provinces, are part of The MAiZE Inc.’s annual Country Music Corn Maze campaign. Past campaigns have honored Reba McEntire, Luke Bryan and Lainey Wilson.

This year’s tribute carries added meaning. Parton died Aug. 25 at age 80, and her family asked that donations be made to the Imagination Library in lieu of flowers. In announcing her death, the family said Parton was a farmer at heart, just like her father. He worked the soil, they noted, while she cultivated songs and happiness.

Laurens County First Steps, which serves as the local Imagination Library affiliate in the county where the farm is located, sees the tribute as a celebration for the entire Upstate.

“Having Stewart Farms selected as one of only 20 farms across North America to honor Dolly in this way is especially meaningful for Laurens County,” said Toni Able, executive director of Laurens County First Steps. “Dolly understood that when we put books into the hands of young children, we plant seeds that can grow for a lifetime. This tribute brings together farming, families, literacy and Dolly’s remarkable legacy right here in our community.”

Since becoming the Laurens County affiliate in November 2023, LCFS has served 2,227 children and mailed 29,990 books directly to local homes, according to the organization. About 1,648 children from birth to age 5 now receive a new book in the mail each month at no cost to their families.

Parton often described books as seeds, telling supporters that children’s dreams frequently take root in the stories they read and that what a community plants at home can grow far beyond it.

Beyond the maze, visitors can pick pumpkins from the farm’s 10-acre U-pick patch, which grows more than 110 varieties. The season also includes tractor-drawn wagon rides, farmyard animals and a Farm Market stocked with fall decor, jams, jellies, pickles, salsas and other seasonal items. Stewart Farms has offered its SC Corn MAiZE as a fall family tradition since 2000.

On Oct. 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31, the farm will also host its family-friendly Big Boo Haunted Maize, along with nighttime wagon rides past illuminated jack-o’-lanterns and fall and Halloween scenes. The last nighttime wagon ride departs at 9:30 p.m.
