September 28, 2026
Mauldin Recreation is preparing for its upcoming winter sports season, announcing that registration will officially open on Thursday, Oct. 1, for youth basketball and wrestling programs.
Families looking to keep their young athletes active during the colder months can register throughout the month of October, with regular sign-ups running through Oct. 31. Registrations submitted after Oct. 31 will incur a $10 late fee.
The youth basketball program welcomes boys and girls ages 4 to 12 across all skill levels, with eligibility determined as of Aug. 31 of the current year. Registration fees are set at $90 for city residents and $110 for out-of-city participants.
The Maverick Wrestling Club program is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 12 as of Sept. 1 of the current year, featuring age brackets for 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U. The wrestling season runs from November through February, with fees set at $50 for city residents and $60 for out-of-city athletes.
In addition to signing up participants, city recreation officials are actively seeking community members to serve as volunteer coaches for both leagues. Interested coaches can apply directly through the city’s volunteer form online.
Parents can sign up online at mauldinrecreation.com, by phone at 864-335-4875, or in person at the Mauldin Sports Center. For wrestling-specific inquiries, parents can also contact Coach Quay Scott directly at [email protected].
