Martha Lewis named Chair of HGTC Foundation Board of Directors for 2026

Retired physical therapist Martha Lewis has been selected to serve as chairperson of the Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) Foundation Board of Directors for 2026.

Lewis brings decades of professional experience and community service to her leadership role. A resident of Conway and native of North Carolina, Lewis earned her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina after attending East Carolina University. She served the Myrtle Beach area for 40 years and co-founded Atlantic Physical Therapy in 1986, overseeing its expansion across the Grand Strand. Today, she continues to serve the community as a volunteer physical therapist at the Smith Free Clinic in Pawleys Island.

Joining Lewis on the 2026 slate of officers for the HGTC Foundation Board of Directors are:

• Vice Chairperson for Fundraising Initiatives: David Singleton, owner and president, Singleton Properties

• Vice Chairperson for Support Services: Tim Tilley, president, EnviroSep

• Treasurer: John Draughn, Coldwell Banker

• Secretary: Von Todd, HTC

• Past Chairperson: John Sawyer, senior vice president and senior financial advisor, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management

Together, the board officers will guide the Foundation’s efforts to strengthen support for Horry-Georgetown Technical College, its students, employees, and programs while expanding relationships across the communities the College serves.
