Lexington County Fire Services & Lexington County EMS to officially dedicate new Jeffrey V. Chavis Fire & EMS Station

Lexington County Fire Services and Lexington County EMS will host a dedication ceremony and open house for the new Jeffrey V. Chavis Fire & EMS Station #34 on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 1447 North Lake Drive in Lexington.
The community is invited to attend the dedication ceremony, which will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by an open house that will continue until 12:00 p.m.
The event will recognize the new station and honor the legacy of Jeffrey V. Chavis, whose name the station carries. The open house will provide community members with an opportunity to tour the facility, learn more about the work of Lexington County Fire & EMS, and meet members of the department.
“This station represents an important investment in the safety and well-being of the Lexington County community,” said Lexington County Fire Services Chief, M. Kyle Minick, MS, EFO, CFO, MIFireE. “We are proud to dedicate this facility and honor the legacy of Jeffrey V. Chavis.”
Lexington County EMS Chief, Magen Hallman, stated, “We look forward to opening our doors to the community and giving residents an opportunity to see the new station and meet the fire and EMS professionals who serve them.”
The event will provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the services provided by Lexington County Fire Service & Lexington County EMS and the role the new station will play in serving the surrounding Lexington County community.
