Greenville Symphony’s Amelia Rogocka among 20 selected for League of American Orchestras’ Artistic Administration Intensive
September 30, 2026Amelia Rogocka, Director of Artistic Operations for the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, has been selected as one of 20 orchestra professionals to participate in the League of American Orchestras’ 2026 Artistic Administration Intensive, a four-day professional development program designed to build skills, insight and leadership capacity in artistic administration.
Rogocka will join professionals from more than a dozen U.S. states, Canada and Brazil for the Intensive, which will take place Oct. 19–22 at the League’s New York City offices. The cohort includes professionals working across artistic administration, orchestra operations, artistic planning and other areas of the orchestra field.
The program will explore key areas of artistic administration, including artistic planning systems, processes, tools and budgeting; relationships with artistic stakeholders; new concert formats and cross-genre projects; and building diverse and inclusive programming. Participants will also take part in leadership development, networking, peer exchange and guided reflection.
“Amelia brings so much thoughtfulness, creativity and energy to her work at the Greenville Symphony,” said Jessica Satava, Executive Director of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. “We’re incredibly proud to have her representing the Greenville Symphony among this talented cohort and excited for the fresh ideas and perspective she’ll bring back to Greenville.”
“As a former Artistic Administrator myself, I have significant personal investment in this program, and I’m thrilled it is happening this fall!” said League of American Orchestras President and CEO Simon Woods. “Programming choices are some of the most definitional decisions our members make, and an artistic administrator with depth of knowledge, artistic judgment, and creativity is a critical factor for any orchestra’s success. We hope that this program will advance a new generation of talented artistic administrators who can play important roles in pushing the orchestra field forward in the coming years.”
The Artistic Administration Intensive is the second in the League of American Orchestras’ series of Orchestra Intensives, created to provide specialized professional development for specific areas of orchestra administration.
The Artistic Administration Intensive is made possible by a grant from The Dr. M. Lee Pearce Foundation, Inc.
