Tidelands Health and Georgetown Family YMCA team up to host “Breast Health 101” workshop for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October 2, 2026In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Tidelands Health and the Tidelands Health Georgetown Family YMCA are partnering to host Breast Health 101, a free 30-minute educational session designed to empower community members with essential knowledge about their health. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, October 13 at 10:00 am at the Tidelands Health Georgetown Family YMCA.
What Participants Will Learn
The interactive session will cover key topics to help individuals take proactive steps in managing their wellness, including:

Guidance on mammograms and age-appropriate breast cancer screenings.

How to recognize subtle breast changes to discuss with a healthcare provider.

Information on financial assistance and community resources available through the Tidelands Breast Health Program for eligible individuals.
