Laurens County Community Theatre unveils Ancestors, Alice and Uncle Fester for ‘The Addams Family’

October 5, 2026

Laurens County Community Theatre opens its 2026-27 season with “The Addams Family,” a musical comedy centered on the ghoulish and iconic family that has entertained audiences for generations.

While the characters have appeared in numerous film and television adaptations, the musical marked their first stage production when it debuted on Broadway in 2010.

Based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams, the musical follows the Addams family as Wednesday, now grown, falls in love with a young man from a respectable, ordinary family. When the two families meet for dinner, the evening takes a series of unexpected and comedic turns.

The production features several LCCT veterans, including Silas Schiera, Gemma Gearheart, Lesslie Blakely, Amy Link and Randy Randall. Valerie Jones is directing the show, with music direction by Amy Link.

The theater recently began introducing cast members, starting with the actors playing Alice, Uncle Fester and the Addams family Ancestors.

Link will play Alice Beineke, the mother of the young man who has fallen for Wednesday Addams. Blakely takes on the role of Uncle Fester, the lovesick family member who helps guide the story.

The Ancestors, a chorus of Addams relatives called back from beyond the grave, will be played by Amy Blakely, Dana Caldwell, Ellis Corley, Elizabeth Davidson, Adela Donnelly, Lacresha Dowdy, Lillie Jones, Sullivan Lanford, Trey Simmons, Cadence Stone, Braxton Thomas and Sophia Zwan.

Additional cast introductions will be shared as opening night approaches.

Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16, 17, 22 and 23, with a 3 p.m. matinee Oct. 24. All shows will be held at the Clinton High School Auditorium, 18132 Highway 72 E., Clinton.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at LCCT.net.
