$10 million investment will create 10 new jobs

CurTec USA, a high-performance packaging manufacturer, is expanding its operations in Oconee County with a $10 million investment that will create 10 new jobs.

Founded in 1991, CurTec produces plastic drums, pails and jars designed to safely handle and contain critical materials used in the life sciences and fine chemicals industries. The company has production operations in the United States and the Netherlands, along with a commercial presence in Asia, Europe and North America.

CurTec’s Oconee County facility is located at 365 Oconee Business Parkway in Westminster. The company plans to expand its existing warehouse and production lines, increasing its capacity to manufacture and store drums and pails for pharmaceutical markets.

“When we opened our Westminster facility in 2023, our goal was to bring production closer to our North American customers and build a platform for long-term growth. This expansion is the next step. By increasing local production, capacity and inventory, we can strengthen supply reliability, broaden the range we manufacture in the United States and continue growing our team and operations in South Carolina,” said CurTec CEO Bart van Berkel.

The expanded operations are expected to be online in summer 2027.
