‘Love at First Fright’: Simpsonville Fine Arts Gallery Hosts Couples’ Halloween Paint Night
October 7, 2026Looking for a date night that blends a little seasonal romance with spooky October spirit? The Simpsonville Fine Arts Gallery is opening its studio this Friday, Oct. 9, for a Halloween-themed couples’ workshop titled “Love at First Fright: Meant to Be.”
Running from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the evening is led by artist-instructor Leah Hurley and invites partners to sip wine, relax, and collaborate on a matching two-canvas painting project. When placed side by side, the two canvases come together into a single, cohesive scene—featuring whimsical silhouettes reminiscent of classic stop-motion romance perched atop curving hilltops under a glowing autumn moon.
Open to adults ages 18 and older, the workshop is priced at $60 per couple, which covers materials and guided instruction for both canvases.
With Friday approaching, gallery organizers note that seats are nearly filled and registration is down to the final spots.
Couples ready to brush up on their painting skills can secure their spot in advance through the gallery’s online reservation portal at square.link/u/MEGQyGG4.
