Ryan Beck, president and CEO of Greenville-based BECK Digital, will speak to regional development leaders from across the country at the National Association of Development Organizations’ 2026 Annual Training Conference, taking place Oct. 19-22 in Reno, Nevada.
Beck will participate in two sessions addressing artificial intelligence and digital accessibility. On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Beck will join Randy Imler, executive director of the Catawba Regional Council of Governments, and Sarah Broberg, vice president of strategic communications at Formation PR + Brand, for “Inside Out AI: Mastering Internal AI Policies and External AI Relations.”

The panel will explore how regional development organizations can develop internal AI policies that protect organizational information while allowing employees to use emerging tools effectively. Panelists will also discuss how organizations can structure their websites and communications for an environment in which AI-powered search increasingly shapes how people find and understand information.
On Wednesday, Oct. 21, Beck will join NADO Director of Government Relations Mike Matthews for “Understanding the DOJ’s ADA Web Accessibility Rule: Compliance Strategies for RDOs.” The session will help regional development organizations understand the rule’s requirements, compliance deadlines, covered digital content and key exceptions. Presenters will also discuss how organizations can assess their current accessibility, prioritize remediation and establish practices that support accessibility over time.
“AI and accessibility may appear to be separate technology issues, but both require organizations to look beyond a particular tool or one-time project,” Beck said. “They require clear policies, informed human judgment and digital systems that can adapt as technology, regulations and public expectations change.”
The Department of Justice’s 2024 ADA Title II final rule established WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the technical standard for web content and mobile apps provided by state and local governments.
An April 2026 interim final rule extended the compliance deadline to April 26, 2027, for public entities serving populations of 50,000 or more and to April 26, 2028, for smaller public entities and special district governments.
Beck has more than 25 years of experience building digital platforms and solving complex technology challenges for national brands, healthcare providers, nonprofits and other large organizations. He co-founded BECK Digital with his brother, Michael Beck, in 2016.
The national speaking engagement comes as BECK Digital marks its 10th anniversary. The company’s accessibility work is part of its broader role as a consultative digital partner, helping organizations navigate AI, websites, SEO, conversion optimization, e-commerce and custom software as technology and audience expectations evolve.
