Entrepreneur Minute – Vincent Sheheen, Musician

October 8, 2026

The Who’s on the Move Entrepreneur Minute is an interview series exploring how South Carolina businesses and organizations are innovating to stay competitive in a rapidly changing world. Each episode features leaders from a wide range of industries—including private companies, nonprofits, education, healthcare and manufacturing—who are embracing new ideas, technologies and strategies to drive growth and create lasting impact. In 2026, innovation is no longer optional. Organizations that fail to adapt risk becoming irrelevant, while those that innovate are shaping the future of their industries and communities.

Current Mayor of Camden, Vincent Sheheen has also carved out a creative path as a songwriter and musician over the past several years. Performing under the name Mayor & The Band, Sheheen recently released an album titled Eclectica Imperfectica showcasing his original songwriting and musical style. His latest venture brings him together with fellow musicians Sarah Black and Braxton Ballew of Valentine Wolfe, as well as drummer Isaiah Ives to form the Southern Gothic Opera Company, a collaboration that blends rock, classical music and gothic storytelling.

The Southern Gothic Opera Company will bring its Halloween production, The Witching Hour: An All Hallow’s Eve Rock Show, to Harbison Theatre on October 23. The performance combines haunting classical themes, Southern rock and theatrical storytelling in a high-energy Halloween spectacle. Featuring music from the group’s upcoming album, The Witching Hour, the concert promises an evening of dramatic soundscapes, gothic atmosphere and electrifying live performances. Tickets are available through Harbison Theatre, with $5 discounts for students, seniors 60 and older, and military personnel.

The show is October 23 at 7:30pm.
