Hood Construction promotes Grant Hensley and Kevin Thurmond to Project Manager

Hood Construction announced the promotions of Grant Hensley and Kevin Thurmond from Assistant Project Manager to Project Manager. Both have played key roles in the company’s growth and success, and their advancement reflects Hood’s commitment to developing talent from within.
Grant Hensley joined Hood Construction in 2017 and has since built a strong track record managing projects in the K-12 and higher education sectors. He has worked alongside Pre-Construction Manager Dean Wilson on several of Hood’s education projects, including projects for the College of Charleston and the University of South Carolina. Grant’s experience delivering educational facilities, where schedules, safety, and community impact are critical, has prepared him well to lead projects as a Project Manager.
Kevin Thurmond joined Hood Construction in 2019 as a Superintendent before moving into his role as Assistant Project Manager. Prior to joining Hood, he owned and operated his own concrete pouring company for several years, then transitioned to an on-site Superintendent role with a commercial construction company. His years of on-site experience make him well-equipped for project management, where he applies his boots-on-the-ground expertise to every phase of a project, from pre-construction through closeout.
