House Beautiful brings 2026 whole home experience to Charleston to benefit Lowcountry Food Bank

October 13, 2026

Beautiful design is making a meaningful difference in Charleston this month as House Beautiful brings its celebrated Whole Home experience to the Holy City, with 100% of proceeds from the sale of select furnishings and décor benefiting Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB) and its mission to unite our community in pursuit of equitable, dignified and consistent access to food.

Now in its ninth year, House Beautiful’s 2026 Whole Home brings together some of the nation’s most talented designers, leading brands, and innovative ideas to demonstrate how thoughtful design can enhance the way people live. This year’s showcase coincides with House Beautiful’s 130th anniversary, marking a milestone for the iconic design publication.

In partnership with Bennett Hofford Construction and located at 284 Meeting Street in downtown Charleston, Whole Home 2026 features two beautifully furnished condominiums transformed by eight talented design teams. Visitors will discover distinctive interiors, imaginative design solutions and inspiring furnishings and décor.

Through the special Tour, Shop, & Nourish experience, visitors can explore both residences during self-guided tours offered on weekends in October and shop select furnishings and décor featured in the Whole Home, with proceeds supporting Lowcountry Food Bank.

“We want to thank House Beautiful for bringing this unique event to Charleston and for choosing Lowcountry Food Bank as its beneficiary,” said Nick Osborne, President and CEO of Lowcountry Food Bank. “While Whole Home visitors will enjoy inspiring design, they are also making a positive impact for children, families and seniors who experience food insecurity across coastal South Carolina.”

The event brings an added dimension of community impact to House Beautiful’s celebration of design. While Whole Home showcases the possibilities of beautifully designed living spaces built by Bennett Hofford Construction, Lowcountry Food Bank works alongside more than 240 partner agencies to help ensure neighbors throughout the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina have access to the nutritious food they need to thrive.

“Charleston provides a remarkable setting for this year’s Whole Home, and we’re delighted that the experience can also make a positive impact in the local community,” said Carisha Swanson, House Beautiful Editorial Special Projects Director. “Supporting Lowcountry Food Bank adds a meaningful dimension to this celebration of design, connecting the beauty of the spaces we create with the communities that make them special.”
