Lowcountry Food Bank’s 6th Annual Walk to Fight Hunger took place on September 26th. The event, which raised $82,670, brings awareness to hunger issues in coastal South Carolina and raises funds for Lowcountry Food Bank programs, including Senior Meals, childhood hunger programs, and fresh produce options for the community.

The Walk was presented by Parker’s Kitchen, and was held at Wannamaker Park in North Charleston. Individuals, companies, civic groups, schools, and churches put together fundraising walk teams and celebrated with the community at the event.

All funds raised at the Walk to Fight Hunger support Lowcountry Food Bank’s mission, which is focused on uniting our community in pursuit of equitable, dignified, and consistent access to food throughout the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina.

Event guests enjoyed a two-mile fun-loop walk, a scavenger hunt, music, and an all-around fun day.
