150-plus decorated rigs: Fountain Inn prepares for 4th annual ‘Jeepers Creepers’ trunk-or-treat cruise

October 21, 2026

Downtown Fountain Inn is preparing to transform its historic core into a glowing, family-friendly Halloween block party this weekend. The city’s signature fall automotive tradition, Jeepers Creepers, officially returns for its fourth annual run on Saturday, October 24, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. along Main Street and Depot Street.

Admission is entirely free, though attendees are encouraged to arrive early to find peripheral parking before downtown streets close to vehicle traffic for the cruise-in.

What began as a grassroots gathering of local off-road enthusiasts has become one of the Golden Strip’s largest seasonal draws. Organizers with Main Street Fountain Inn confirmed that more than 150 creatively decorated Jeeps are already registered to line the roadway, with registration remaining open for late entries.

Candy Trails, Live Jams, and Haunted Corners

Families strolling down Main Street will encounter everything from spiderwebbed roll cages and skeletal co-pilots to elaborate cinematic builds—including Ghostbusters-themed rigs complete with oversized inflatable Slimers.

Beyond the rows of open tailgates handing out candy, this year’s festival lineup spans activities across the downtown footprint:

  • Live Music on Depot Street: Musical acts will perform near the Depot throughout the evening to keep the street party energized.

  • Family-Friendly Haunted Maze: A walk-through maze designed for younger trick-or-treaters who want a little mystery without intense scares.

  • Free Face Painting & “Paint a Duck” Station: Celebrating the Jeep community’s “ducking” tradition, kids can paint and customize their own rubber ducks to take home.

  • Photo Ops and Costumed Characters: Staged photo backdrops and roaming characters will line the sidewalks for family pictures.

  • Local Dining & Food Trucks: Brick-and-mortar restaurants and visiting food trucks will operate across downtown, offering dinner, warm seasonal drinks, and sweet treats.

Jeep Owners: Registration Remains Open

Organizers are still accepting registrations for owners who want to dress up their vehicles and pass out treats. Participation is open to all Jeep models, provided themes remain family-friendly and drivers come prepared with candy for visitors.

Stalls can be reserved online through the city’s registration page on FareHarbor or by visiting mainstreetfountaininn.com.
