Laurens County Sheriff’s Office to begin accepting Christmas for Kids applications Oct. 30
October 25, 2026The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office will begin distributing applications for its annual Christmas for Kids program on Friday, Oct. 30, giving local families in need a chance to receive holiday assistance for their children.
Applications will be available in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office at 216 W. Main St. in Laurens. Families do not need to bring any documents when picking up an application. They may simply collect a form and take it home to complete. Instructions outlining next steps, the interview process and the proof documents required are all listed on the application.
Christmas for Kids assistance is available for children from newborn through age 14. An interview is required as part of the process, and families must complete the entire application and interview process by Wednesday, Nov. 25.
“Christmas for Kids is one of the most meaningful things our office does each year,” said Sheriff Don Reynolds. “Every child in Laurens County deserves to wake up on Christmas morning knowing someone cares about them. We are grateful to the families who trust us and to the sponsors in this community who step up year after year to make it happen.”
Community members who would like to sponsor a child are encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office. Sponsorships help ensure that every eligible child enrolled in the program receives gifts for the holiday.
