Georgetown community invited to honor local heroes at annual Veterans Day Parade

October 25, 2026

Georgetown is gearing up to honor its military veterans with the annual Veterans Day Parade on Wednesday, November 11, at 2:00 pm. Community members, businesses, and local organizations are warmly invited to come together, decorate a vehicle, and salute the men and women who have served our nation.

Parade lineup and set-up will begin at 1:00 pm at East Bay Park.

Veterans Day is a meaningful opportunity to show gratitude to family members, friends, and neighbors who served. This year, organizers are rallying the entire community—individuals, local businesses, civic groups, patriotic clubs, churches, and youth organizations—to join the procession and help make this Georgetown’s largest and most vibrant Veterans Day celebration yet.

Getting involved is easy and completely free. Participants are encouraged to deck out trucks, cars, golf carts, or floats in red, white, and blue, along with signs of thanks for our veterans. There is no entry fee to participate, but the VFW requests citizens and groups register their entry in advance.

To register your group or vehicle before the November 6 deadline, please contact one of the following parade coordinators:

  • Rodney Ward (American Legion Post 114): (843) 833-3700

  • Peggy Baldwin: (719) 453-7850

  • Victor Luna (VFW Georgetown Memorial Post 6444): (843) 359-9758

Come out, show your spirit, and let’s give our local veterans a celebration to remember!
