Bridging the Gap Advocacy to host third annual fundraiser luncheon Nov. 14

November 2, 2026

Bridging the Gap Advocacy will hold its third annual Fundraiser Luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at The Ballroom (A Taste of Home), 241 S. Harper St. Extension in Laurens.

This year’s theme, “Celebrating our Students: Past, Present, Future,” honors the young people the organization has served over the years, those it serves today and the students it hopes to reach in the years ahead.

“Every student who has walked through our doors is part of this story,” Calvin Whitmire said. “This luncheon is our chance to celebrate how far they have come, recognize the work they are doing right now and invest in the students who are coming next. We hope the community will join us for a great afternoon and help us keep building that bridge.”

Guests can look forward to an afternoon of entertainment, speakers, food and door prizes. First Lady Kayla Johnson of White Plains Baptist Church will be featured as a special guest.

Organizers extended their gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Cheeks for their generosity and support of the event.

Tickets are $25 and are on sale now. They may be purchased at Bridging the Gap Advocacy. For more information, call 864-200-1144.
