Hands-On horsemanship: Triple R Ranch to host monthly youth day camp in Simpsonville

Young equestrians and animal lovers across the Golden Strip have an opportunity to spend a day at the barn this weekend as Triple R Ranch hosts its monthly Saturday Day Camp on November 7.

Located at 602 Harrison Bridge Road in Simpsonville, the ranch offers the program for youth ages 4 to 16, running from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Designed to blend foundational riding instruction with behind-the-scenes farm education, the camp caps enrollment at eight participants per session to ensure individualized attention and safety around the horses.

Throughout the four-hour session, campers rotate through a curriculum featuring:

• Riding Lessons: Focused instruction tailored to each participant’s skill level.

• Horsemanship & Barn Skills: Practical education on horse behavior, grooming, and handling.

• Stable Care: Hands-on experience learning daily barn routines and equine maintenance.

• Creative Arts: Themed equestrian craft projects.

Registration is $95 per rider, with a $25 non-refundable deposit required to reserve a space. Snacks and drinks are provided by the ranch, though participants must bring a packed lunch. Riders are required to wear pants and smooth-soled shoes (a boot with a heel is preferred). Helmets are provided on-site.

All payment types are accepted. To register or submit allergy and prior riding experience information, text Lindsay at 864-907-5189.
