Experience the Magic: Wonderland of Lights returns to the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk
November 2, 2026Get ready to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit along the coast! The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk is bringing back its beloved Wonderland of Lights walk-through Christmas light experience, promising its most spectacular display to date. Running nightly from November 27th through December 31st, between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM, this festive celebration is free and open to all ages.
A Synchronized Holiday Stroll
Visitors can enjoy a stroll along the ½-mile boardwalk, where the eight MarshWalk restaurants are outlined in thousands of vibrant Christmas lights. The display features glowing arches synchronized to classic Christmas tunes starting at the top and bottom of every hour. At the end of Veteran’s Pier, a magnificent 20-foot LED Christmas tree serves as the focal point—visible from restaurants along the walk and providing a picture-perfect backdrop for family photos.
Festive Photo Ops and Family Fun
Throughout the boardwalk, visitors will find interactive photo stops, including:
- A giant Gingerbread House
- A bright Candy Cane Arch
- Over-sized Christmas ornaments
- Santa Claus photo setups
Santa’s Village & Weekend Attractions
For extra holiday cheer, Santa’s Village will open on weekends (Fridays through Sundays, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM) from November 27th through December 20th. Located in the Wicked Tuna parking lot and between Wahoo’s and Drunken Jack’s, Santa’s Village features:
- Visits with Santa: Located on his sleigh in front of Drunken Jack’s (roadside).
