The Crest Group breaks ground on $50 million residential development in Summerville

The Crest Group, a New York-based real estate development firm, has broken ground on Heritage at Summerville, a 250-unit residential rental community in Summerville, South Carolina. The project, supported by $50 million in construction financing, represents another significant investment in the Charleston region’s rapidly growing housing market.
The development will occupy 17 acres and include 250 rental residences across 22 buildings. The community will feature 46 three-bedroom townhomes, 136 two-bedroom units and 68 one-bedroom apartments. Residences will range from approximately 1,100 to 1,800 square feet, providing a variety of housing options for individuals, families and professionals.
Heritage at Summerville will also include a 5,000-square-foot clubhouse, outdoor swimming pool, three ponds, a dog park and recreational amenities. An on-site child care facility operated by The Learning Experience will provide additional services for residents and surrounding neighborhoods.
Construction financing for the project is being provided by ConnectOne Bank. The development team includes McDonough & Conroy Architects of New York and engineering firm Thomas & Hutton, which has operations throughout the Southeast.
