Aunt Het Festival returns to downtown Fountain Inn with food, crafts, and a chance to make the front page

September 30, 2026

Downtown Fountain Inn is set to come alive this weekend as one of the Upstate’s longest-running traditions, the annual Aunt Het Festival, fills Main Street with handcrafted artisan goods, festival food favorites, and community fun.

Celebrating the wit, humor, and plain-spoken wisdom of Fountain Inn’s beloved syndicated comic strip character created by Robert Quillen, the festival draws thousands to celebrate local heritage and the start of the autumn season. Visitors can browse rows of regional craft vendors, indulge in classic fair bites, and take in the small-town charm that defines the heart of the Golden Strip.

Festivalgoers should note one logistical change for this year’s festivities: there will not be a car show this year. Even without the classic cars lining the pavement, the festival footprint remains packed with family activities, downtown shopping, and lively entertainment throughout the day.

The Golden Strip News team will be right in the center of the action on Main Street, and we want to see you! Stop by our booth to say hello, and enter our drawing for a chance to take home a local gift card.

While you are there, step up to our custom photo booth and see yourself in print. Visitors can snap a festival picture and tag @goldenstripnews on Instagram for an exclusive chance to be featured right on the headline cover of our next issue!

Gather your family, stroll Main Street, and come celebrate another wonderful autumn day in Fountain Inn.
