May 31, 2009

COLUMBIA, SC –May 28, 2009 – The Central Carolina REALTORS® Association (CCRA) is pleased to announce at their general membership quarterly luncheon this month, the membership collected big for two charitable organizations.  CCRA raised nearly $2,100 for Project H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Precious Elderly) and collected 81 pounds of food for Harvest Hope Food Bank. REALTORS® from the Coldwell Banker United Irmo Office donated more money than any other office to the Project H.O.P.E. effort.  CCRA collects donations for Harvest Hope at every luncheon.

About Project H.O.P.E.

The Project H.O.P.E. program was set up by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to give special attention to senior citizens in the Midlands community. Project H.O.P.E. has expressed a need for window air-conditioning units. CCRA’s Community Service Committee wanted to provide for that need by taking monetary donations in order to purchase as many air-conditioning units as possible.
