“We’re excited to support this group of impactful and deserving charitable organizations this year through Rose Ball fundraising,” said Dan Adams, president of the Charity Ball Board executive committee. “This is what the Rose Ball is all about – supporting the needs of our community, and we’re so blessed to have organizations, volunteers and leaders to help drive that initiative year after year.”
The 2023 Rose Ball beneficiaries were selected from a pool of 67 letters of intent and subsequent applications submitted by qualifying non-profits in Greenville County. The Charity Ball Board of Greenville’s Beneficiaries Committee, led by chair Courtney Atkinson and vice-chair Katy Sides, reviewed all letters of intent and applications, conducted site visits, and presented a slate for recommendation to the Charity Ball Board this spring.
“There is a real and growing need in our community for funding in the areas of physical, emotional, educational, environmental and cultural wellbeing,” Atkinson said. “The Beneficiaries Committee continues to be blown away by the work these organizations do in our community, and as always, it’s a challenge to make the final selections. At the same time, it’s encouraging to see the lasting impact of their work, and we’re excited to see what they’ll do with funds raised by the 2023 Rose Ball.”
The Rose Ball is Greenville’s longest-running charitable community event, featuring more than 4,000 roses and providing funding for many Greenville charitable organizations biennially.
