Clinton Fire Department to Hold Second Annual Smoke Alarm Blitz

The City of Clinton Fire Department’s Second Annual Smoke Alarm Blitz is scheduled for October 15th.

Department personnel, along with the Red Cross and state fire partners will respond to anyone’s home and install the correct number of operating smoke alarms for your residence, free of charge!

The goal is that every home in the fire district is fire safe! Take this opportunity to make your home safer.  Residents can sight up online, at the utility department, or at the public safety building. Click here to sign up online or call 864-833-7512.

The blitz is open to ALL residents within the fire district and is open to home owners and renters. The goal is to have the sufficient number of working smoke alarms in every home in the district. A house properly equipped with these life saving devices exponentially increase occupant’s safety in the event of a fire.

The deadline to sign up for the program is October 8th.  Preregistration is required so the fire department can properly prepare for the blitz event.
