Complete PR’s Turner to speak at Taylors Business Association event

Complete PR’s Director of Public Relations Ariel Turner will be sharing stories, tips and strategies at the March 18 Taylors Business Association Lunch and Learn.

With nearly 15 years in print journalism before joining Complete PR in 2019, Turner will bring her extensive knowledge and expertise to address the topic of small business public relations and how businesses interacting in the Taylors area can and should work with local media to build a recognizable presence in the community.

“Not every small business needs a public relations firm on retainer, but every small business is doing PR, whether they’re aware of it or not,” Turner said. “My goal is to bring awareness to the opportunities small business owners may be missing to connect with a broader customer base through traditional, earned PR.”

Turner’s presentation will address common misconceptions about public relations, what small business owners need to know before hiring a PR professional, and how to successfully interact with members of the media, among other points of interest. Participants will walk away with real advice they can implement immediately.

Taylors Business Association, formed in 2019 under the umbrella of Taylors TownSquare, invited Turner to speak based on her experience and feedback provided by its members.

“In early January, we sat down with several members and talked to them about what types of offerings would be meaningful to their businesses,” said Alex Reynolds, president of Taylors TownSquare. “One key component we heard was education. People are looking for significant opportunities to learn about how to better their businesses.”

The business association was founded to provide a place for business in Taylors to connect with one another.

“We believe businesses thrive in community and want to provide opportunities for them to grow and work together,” Reynolds said. “The Taylors area as an up and coming area has not had a unified voice in the business community, and through the business association, we want to help provide that.
