Crawford Prezioso brokers sale of ±76,000-square-foot building at Dutch Plaza

Crawford Prezioso of Colliers | South Carolina represented the seller, D&P Beach Properties, LLC, and the buyer, Midlands Housing Alliance, in the sale of Dutch Plaza, a ±76,000-square-foot building in the St. Andrews submarket.
Midlands Housing Alliance has retained LCK, Colliers | South Carolina’s project management partner, for the building upfit and awarded the property management to Colliers’ Real Estate Management Services (REMS).
“The Midlands Housing Alliance had a specific set of zoning and location requirements for its new affordable housing complex, and a property that met these needs was not readily available,” said Crawford Prezioso, Brokerage Associate with Colliers in Columbia. “With the advisement from LCK’s project management experts on Dutch Plaza’s long-term value, it became a natural choice for the Midlands Housing Alliance.”

Phase One of the transformation will occur in the back two buildings. One building will be renovated to serve as an adult day care facility for medically fragile individuals in need of mental and physical activity. Creating a comfortable place for residents of the community will provide new services and support for caregivers and family members trying to care for their elderly relatives. The second building will be renovated to create rental apartments that are handicap accessible and designed to meet the needs of elderly individuals.
Prezioso represents owners, landlords, users and tenants in the leasing and sale of commercial properties throughout Columbia and central South Carolina.
