Dillon Swayngim and Ralph Settle of Colliers International awarded tenant representation account for Kimura, Inc. North American operations

December 1, 2020

Dillon Swayngim and Ralph Settle of Colliers International in Spartanburg have been awarded the North American tenant representation account by third-party logistics firm, Kimura Inc. Kimura has primarily served automotive manufacturing and supplier-based companies in the past and is now expanding their successful North American logistics platform into pharmaceutical, e-commerce and textile industries with plans for further diversification in the coming years.

As part of this partnership, Swayngim and Settle will work closely with Kimura to provide financial and market analysis, strategic counsel and lease negotiation to expand the company’s footprint in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The team plans to leverage local market expertise as well as Colliers’ extensive national platform of resources and brokerage network to assist Kimura in making informed real estate decisions as they move into new markets and industries.

Kimura, Inc. is the North American subsidiary of global logistics leader Kimura Unity, which began as a container manufacturer in Japan in 1881. The company has grown in tandem with the automotive industry in North America, providing assembly, sorting/packing and wholesale distribution for automotive suppliers and manufacturers including but not limited to Toyota, BMW, Ford, Minghua USA and Drive Automotive.

Kimura currently operates out of facilities in Piedmont, Spartanburg and Laurens in South Carolina.

“Kimura is poised to take advantage of increased demand for logistics-based support as the pandemic accelerates the shift towards e-commerce and related supply chain expansions/reconfigurations throughout North America,” said Joseph Marcus, Vice President of Sales and Operations for Kimura. “We look forward to working closely with the Colliers team in Spartanburg to fully capitalize on these new growth opportunities and believe this partnership will give us a vital edge in competitive markets.”
