Dr. Ronald McVcar joins Charleston ENT

CHARLESTON, SC – January 20, 2013 – Ronald J. McVicar, DO, FACS has joined the physicians and staff of Charleston Ear, Nose & Throat Associates, the state’s largest independent ENT medical group, which serves patients throughout the Lowcountry from 10 locations.

Until recently, Dr. McVicar was Staff Otolaryngologist at Naval Health Clinic Charleston, attaining the rank of Commander. He held similar responsibilities at naval health clinics in Newport, RI and Groton, CT after serving as Flight Surgeon at NAS Whidbey Island, WA and NAS Brunswick, ME.

A graduate in Biology of California State University, he received his doctorate from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Pomona. He performed an internship and residency at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego and completed the U.S. Naval Flight Surgeon Course in Pensacola, FL.

Dr. McVicar, who is Board-Certified in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, is seeing new and established patients at Charleston ENT’s West Ashley, North Charleston, Goose Creek and Moncks Corner locations as well as The Surgery Center of Charleston.
