EDVENTURE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM – In February, EdVenture is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The museum also is open Monday, Feb. 16 for President’s Day. Admission is $6.95 for children 12 and younger, $8.95 for adults and free for children one and under. Find a complete list of activities at www.edventure.org or by calling 803-779-3100.

Curious George: Let’s Get Curious!, Feb. 7 through May 31, 2009 – The insatiable curiosity of Curious George – the little monkey who has captured the imagination and hearts of millions of children and adults for 65 years – comes to life Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009. The new exhibit, Curious George: Let’s Get Curious!, will introduce young children to Curious George’s world and lead visitors on a fun, meaningful interactive math, science and engineering-based adventure.

Enter a make-believe world of imaginative play when you visit a seven-foot polar bear in the North Pole, learn about the penguins of the South Pole, get creative in an igloo-building activity and Discover more about the science of snow and ice during our interactive winter show, “Brrr!” presented daily at 2 p.m. Snowville is sponsored by WIS-TV and AT&T, The Real Yellow Pages.
From Here to Timbuktu: A Journey Through West Africa, At EdVenture Through March 1, 2009
From Here to Timbuktu takes visitors on a journey through West Africa’s spectacular and diverse geographic regions. Along the way children are immersed in an adventure of discovery as they learn about the rhythm of West African life.

“Monkey Business” Educational Theatre Show
1 p.m. daily starting Feb. 7 in the Curious George exhibit
Come help our friendly construction worker use simple machines to clean up his job site and get to lunch. “Monkey Business” is an original EdVenture theatrical production with interactive roles for audience members. Free with admission.

Demonstration – favorite foods from Africa from noon to 5 p.m. American Heart Association presentation of Curious George Goes to the Hospital with heart health activities. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. – Family Night at EdVenture
It’s Family Night and admission is only $1 per person from 5 to 8 p.m. Come explore Snowville and Curious George: Let’s Get Curious! for some winter math and science fun. Family Night, brought to you by Food Lion, is the second Tuesday of every month.

Little EdVenturers – series of four 8-week programs that are completely hands on and developmentally appropriate for children ages 12 months to 3 years. From art and science to literature and music, toddlers will experience the joy of learning through classrooms filled with opportunities to discover and grow. Choose Friday or Saturday class. Neighborhood Little EdVenturers – NEW! With the rising price of gas, do you wish EdVenture could come to you? EdVenture’s Discovery Council – Join this great group of moms who work to increase community awareness and raise funds to support EdVenture Children’s Museum. Home Safe Home – Multimedia, 4-D interactive theater presentation at EdVenture Children’s Museum that teaches children about fire safety and reminds parents to check fire alarms and create an escape plan in case of emergency. Club EdVenture – Registration for EdVenture Children’s Museum’s award-winning after-school program is open to the public for the 2008-2009 school year.
