GEORGETOWN, SC – May 9, 2012 – Georgetown, South Carolina was the destination for anglers who participated in this year’s Georgetown Landing Marina’s Meat Fish Slam tournament benefiting Kids’ Chance of South Carolina, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to the dependents of South Carolina workers who have been seriously injured or killed on the job. With perfect weather, the tournament took place on May 4 – 5, 2012 and reeled in lots of money for Kids’ Chance scholarships!
Ideal weather and the hot fish bite brought 18 boats to the tournament with more than 125 people in attendance. Weekend festivities included a pre-tournament dinner at Georgetown Landing Marina catered by Hog Heaven; a lively weigh-in party with food provided by Hog Heaven, silent auction, awards and karaoke hosted by Mike Hannon.
