Historic Columbia Foundation Announces New Board of Trustees Members

COLUMBIA, SC – December 16, 2009 – Historic Columbia Foundation recently elected several new board members to its organization for 2009 -2010 and presented its 2009 Awards of Excellence.

Susan Brill will serve as President of the Board. Brill served on Richland County Council and currently is a member of the Richland District 2 school board. She is a member and past president of the Spring Valley High School Education Foundation; founding member of the Wildewood Homeowners Association; and active member of the S.C. Symphony League. Brill has received numerous awards for her community service.

Additional members new to the board include Jamie Harpootlian of Richard A. Harpootlian, PA; Frank Houston of Houston’s Enterprise Catering; Daphne Williams of Columbia Mental Health; and Eleanor Pope, community volunteer.

Historic Columbia Foundation presented 2009 Awards of Excellence for work in promoting preservation issues. Awards were presented to Anderson Burns, reporter with ABC Columbia (WOLO); SERCO; Mayor Bob Coble; David Brinkman; and Rodger Stroup.
