October 8, 2021

Interim HealthCare, a leading area provider of home health care, hospice, and personal care services, recently announced the promotion of Kiersten Colovin to Vice President of Operations. In this expanded role, Colovin will provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all Home Health, Hospice, and Personal Care and Support Services. She will also lead operational expansion efforts throughout South Carolina.

“Kiersten is a dynamic asset to our organization and a critical part of our plans for continued growth. The expertise she brings as our Vice President of Operations will help to enhance our continuum of care so we can deliver exceptional service to our patients and meet consumer demand,” said Charles McDonough, Chief Executive Officer for Interim HealthCare. “Her managerial experience, strategic leadership, and ability to foster relationships with key stakeholders will be instrumental in maintaining the excellence of our organization as we look toward expansion across new markets.”

Colovin has been in the healthcare industry for 12 years. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Hospice at Interim HealthCare and her teams collectively served more than 1,700 patients last year. She has also previously served as Director of Care Partnerships at the Care Coordination Institute where she facilitated, developed, and provided oversight of regional and national client engagements with integrated delivery systems. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director at Providence Care, a hospice and palliative care company, where she oversaw hospice services and the implementation of an in-home palliative care physician program.

“Everything we do at Interim HealthCare is dedicated to enriching the lives of our patients and I’m honored to provide leadership to this amazing team. My hope is to continue finding strategic and creative ways to develop synergies across service lines to keep providing the quality of care our patients across South Carolina know and love,” said Colovin.

Founded in 1979 by Ray Schroeder, Interim HealthCare of the Upstate was Interim HealthCare’s first franchised office in South Carolina and recently expanded to the Midlands earlier this year. Interim HealthCare offers home health, hospice, chronic disease management, personal care services, and a telehealth program. While locally owned and operated, the organization is part of the national Interim HealthCare network of more than 400 locations.
