IRS Small Business Tax Workshop to be Offered at Tri-County Technical College’s Anderson Campus

ANDERSON, SC – An IRS Small Business Tax Workshop will be offered at the Tri-County Technical College Anderson Campus Thursday, September 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
According to Thomas Sheaffer, IRS senior tax specialist, this workshop is designed for the small business owner, manager or the self-employed. Topics will include business use of home, independent contractors vs. employees, employment taxes, tax forms and electronic filing methods.
In addition, information on record keeping, types of business entities, Schedule C & SE and employment taxes, will be covered.
The employment tax segment provides an overview of Forms 941 and 940, including e-File, and EFTPS due dates. Both Federal and State Tax/Employment issues will be covered. The cost of the workshop is $25.
