In collaboration with the Budget and Provost Offices, the Post Award Grant Analyst works with Department PIs, Sponsored Awards Department and USC Columbia to monitor grant post award activities to support PI compliance with all reporting requirements. Review the quarterly & annual financial reports; support PIs and Sponsored Awards department in ensuring that maintenance of effort and matching requirements are met.

Monitor progress of grant awards from issuance to completion. Provide ongoing status updates to Senior Management – assuring them that all publicly and privately funded grants are being managed in a timely manner, funding is received, expended & reported correctly & timely to all grantors.
• Work with departments and Grants management office to ensure new awards are set up in a timely manner.
• Prepare grant checklist and time for each grant. Monitor time and effort reporting to ensure that departments are in compliance with reporting requirements.
• Perform analysis and review function, include budget and expense analysis, monitor invoicing and reporting to ensure timely compliance with deadlines, that labor distribution changes are timely, communication with grantors are ongoing.
• Reviews grants for timeliness and accuracy prior to grant close out; collaborate with USC Col grants office to ensure all requirements are met – completion of status reports, invoicing, close out purchase orders and reconciliation with the GL.
• Monitor preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, work with departments and USC system office to ensure timely submission of all reports.
• Collaborate with USC Upstate Sponsored Awards department as necessary to ensure the timely completion and submission of all grant reports.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree and two or more years of basic fiscal/ business experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education and or experience. Successful background check is required.

Salary:
$23.74 – $29.60 per hour based on education and experience.
