The Quality Auditor performs audits to identify and document overages, shortages or errors with tires and any procedural issues identified before a shipment is loaded. This position reports to the Quality Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete audit documents accurately, legibly, correctly and in its entirety.
• Distribute complete audits for further processing and documentation.
• Audit amount and frequencies are determined by the Quality manager or designee.
• Identify and document overages, shortages or tire discrepancies and document procedural issues.
• Must communicate timely and effectively regarding quality errors and issues.
• Must communicate any procedural issues for management to resolve.
• Complete all training for auditing.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

None

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills

None

Language Skills

Fluent in English (reading, writing and verbal)

Mathematical Skills

Intermediate

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous Quality inspector/auditor experience

Work experience in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear.   Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.

Ability to handle and lift up to 70lbs. and pull stacks of tires over enough to audit the inside stacks on the pallet.  Ability to stand up to 12 hours per day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
