The Registrar is responsible for the overall administration for the Office of Records, Registration and Veterans Affairs. This includes planning, implementation, budgeting and evaluation. The registrar is a member of the enrollment services team. The registrar serves as a link to the implementation of academic policies and procedures. The registrar has oversight of the scheduling of classrooms and courses. He/She serves on the NCAA compliance team and is responsible for the university’s academic documents. The registrar ensures the integrity and confidentiality of student records. The University Registrar also oversees registration, honors and awards, enrollment verification, graduation certification and citizenship verification.
• Responsible for directing the functions of the records office including planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with all policies and procedures established by the faculty and administration. Responsible for directing student registration; including priority registration in the fall and spring semesters and multiple summer registrations to provide seamless registration for students. Assists with new student orientation to resolve any registration issues. Responsible for the academic calendar for the university on the website to inform campus of key dates. Works to coordinate dates with Admissions, Financial Aid and Business Affairs offices to best serve students. Responsible for the academic portion of the USC Upstate catalog, including the revisions passed through faculty governance. Directs the development of the class schedule including setting due dates, room assignments and proofing the document to provide information needed for registration.
• Serves on the committees of the faculty and other university committees: Student Services, Graduate Committee, Executive Academic Affairs, General Education, Academic Support, Academic Budget and Facilities Planning to provide information and to keep Enrollment Services informed of changes.
• Responsible for the academic discipline system, academic probation and suspension as determined by the faculty. Reviews and updates Banner with appropriate information, informs students, financial aid and housing of changes in status impacting students. Responsible for grade collection, grade changes and enrollment verification to ensure student records are accurate. Responsible for all records processing for the graduate programs and graduate contract courses including scheduling, registration and grade processing to provide graduate credit for adult learners.
• Administers the budget, including reviewing charges, balancing specific budget allocations to stay within budget limits.
• Directs the graduation process including the application process, disseminating information to students and directing students for the graduation ceremony to provide quality graduation experience for students.
• Directs the Veterans Affairs function that certifies veterans for benefits.
• Certifies NCAA Eligibility for all continuing student athletes to meet NCAA requirements to participate in D1 sports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 5 years related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 7 years related experience. Successful background check is required.

Salary:
$59,581 – $79,382; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
