Lex the T-Rex, life-sized dinosaur to hold a family friendly event in support of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on March 29

Paint a ribbon in honor of a loved one, play games, and post photos with Lex
Lex the T-Rex will make her 2025 debut this Saturday, March 29 in honor of Jackson, an area youth battling leukemia. Families are encouraged to stop by 4570 Augusta Road (Lexington) from 2PM – 5PM and join Jackson in painting ribbons and playing games.
Lexington-area native and master sculptor Christopher Price of Price Handyworks, LLC, created Lex The T-Rex, a life-sized dinosaur, as a fun way to engage the community through service. Last year he hosted an exciting fundraiser in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, where over 300 residents visited his home on Halloween and he raised nearly $2,000.
“Lex [the T-Rex] has become a staple in the community to create awareness for anyone battling or who has succumbed to an illness, while encouraging faith that a cure will one day be accessible for all. She puts smiles on faces of all ages and brings a moment of joy in honor of our loved ones,” said Christopher Price. “Jackson is an extraordinary little boy who has not let his illness stop him. We want to show him some love and donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We encourage everyone to come on out for a day of food, fun, and fundraising!”
Leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are types of cancer that can affect the bone marrow, blood cells, lymph nodes, and other parts of the lymphatic system. An estimated 1,629,474 people in the United States are living with or in remission from leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs).
