LushAcres Farm Announces 2025 Field Trips: Engaging Educational Experiences for Students
February 1, 2025LushAcres Farm in Clinton, SC, offers hands-on field trip experiences designed to engage students with agriculture, nature, and sustainability. These field trips provide interactive learning opportunities that connect classroom concepts with real-world applications.
“Agriculture is a vital part of our community, and we want students to understand where their food comes from,” said Kurt Fuhrman, Agritourism Coordinator at LushAcres Farm. “Our goal is to create an interactive and educational experience that inspires curiosity and appreciation for farming.”
Lunch and Amenities
As an added bonus, all students receive a free farm picnic lunch during their visit. Being a part of a larger organization, Thornwell, these lunches are prepared in their campus dining hall under the nutritional guidelines of the National School Lunch Program. This is just another way they are working to partner with teachers to make their field trips as easy and smooth as they can. The field trip experience also includes animal feeding at the barnyard, access to the playground, and other engaging activities.
