Maker's Mark Cocktail Party to Support Central Carolina Community Foundation

COLUMBIA, SC – September 4, 2012 – Central Carolina Community Foundation has announced the first event in the 19th annual Central Carolina Food and Wine Festival. Maker’s Mark Chairman Emeritus Bill Samuels Jr., whose father founded the company, will lead a special bourbon tasting featuring Maker’s Mark and the new Maker’s 46.

Billed as a bi-partysan evening filled with fun, food and Maker’s Mark, the event will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough on the 17th Floor of the Meridian Building at 1320 Main Street in Columbia.

Prior to and after the bourbon tasting, guests will enjoy a reception featuring Maker’s Mark cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

A limited amount of tickets are available for $100 each and can be ordered online at www.yourfoundation.org. All proceeds assist the Foundation in awarding grants to nonprofits in the Midlands.

The Central Carolina Food and Wine Festival has served as the annual fundraiser for Central Carolina Community Foundation since 1995. During the past 18 years, the Festival has raised more than $870,000 for the Foundation to continue its mission to promote, facilitate and increase philanthropy to create a sustainable impact within our community through reasonable giving.
