Palmetto Goodwill welcomes new Chief Financial Officer
June 24, 2025Palmetto Goodwill, a local nonprofit that provides training, education and employment opportunities, proudly announces the appointment of Theresa Craft as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Craft replaces the retiring CFO, Jackie Draws, at the end of June. Craft’s addition to the executive team marks the continued investment in talent to support the nonprofit’s continued growth, long-term stability and commitment to innovation to create more community impact.
As CFO, Craft will oversee the nonprofit’s financial strategy, providing leadership and direction on financial planning, risk management, resource management and compliance. She brings over 30 years of financial leadership experience in healthcare and nonprofit sectors to the organization, most recently serving as CFO at We Are Sharing Hope SC.
“The CFO role is critical in ensuring that our organization is fiscally sound and properly resourced to continue and grow our mission across the Lowcountry,” said Brian Itzkowitz, President and CEO. “We want our donors, shoppers and partners to know that we will continue our community commitment to operate with fiscal responsibility, while appropriately investing in the communities we serve. Theresa’s expertise will help ensure that our resources are aligned with our mission, creating maximum impact in the community.”
Over the past year, Palmetto Goodwill has expanded its community reach by launching a grant funding program to small local nonprofits and a Microenterprise Accelerator Program (MAP) with available funding for entrepreneurs, both in the Tri-County and Pee Dee regions. With the addition of Craft, the organization is positioned to build on this momentum and serve more community members.
“It’s a privilege to serve as CFO for Palmetto Goodwill, an organization deeply committed to empowering individuals and strengthening communities,” Craft expresses. “I’m excited to contribute to its legacy of impact by aligning financial strategy with mission-driven growth and long-term sustainability.”
