Rave Energy of Laurens set to open behind GLEAMS
August 5, 2026A familiar name in Clinton nutrition is expanding into Laurens.
Rave Energy of Laurens will open at 221 W. Laurens St., Suite B-4, in the space behind GLEAMS, joining the family of stores that includes Crave Clinton. Owner Lori Wilkes said the business is targeting an early August opening and is awaiting its certificate of occupancy.
The new location will carry the same Mega Teas and grab-and-go protein options that customers know from the Clinton store. Rave will not serve shakes. Local delivery is planned as soon as the store is able to add it.
Lucky and Kristen Maroney, residents of Waterloo in Laurens County, are partners in the new store, and Kristen Maroney will manage the day-to-day operation.
“We are excited to bring the same Mega Teas and grab-and-go protein our Clinton customers count on right into Laurens,” Wilkes said. “Kristen will be running the new store, and we will add local delivery just as soon as we can.”
Rave joins a group of stores Wilkes and her partners have built across the Upstate over the past three years.
“Rave is joining our sister stores that we started in 2023 with Mixx 96 and Crave Clinton, followed by Uptown Energy Bar in Greenwood and Boost Woodruff in 2025,” Wilkes said. “Rise Union is also on track to open in 2026.”
Crave Clinton opened in September 2023 at 104 N. Broad St. in downtown Clinton, launched by Wilkes and Tiffany Palomino after the response to Mixx 96 in Ninety Six brought requests for a location in the Laurens and Clinton area. The Clinton store has since expanded its hours and added weekend service, and it has become a regular stop for customers looking for protein shakes and energy teas.
The Laurens store will announce hours, opening day details and specials on social media. Customers can follow Rave Energy of Laurens on Instagram at @RAVE_ENERGY_OF_LAURENS and on Facebook at @RaveEnergyofLaurens for open announcements and sneak peeks.
