Rotary Club of Greenville elects new officers

GREENVILLE, SC – August 2, 2013 – The Rotary Club of Greenville has named its 2013-14 officers.

Judith Sosebee Prince will serve as the 98th president of the group; Russell H. Stall has been named secretary; Jill Rees Kintigh is treasurer and Philip B. Watson is president-elect.

Prior to being elected president, Judith Sosebee Prince served as chair of the Rotary Foundation, chair of Rotary Read-to-Me, director of Service Projects, and chair of Women for Rotary. She has served in other roles such as facilitating Career Day, working with Holiday Lights, fundraising for End Polio Now, and more.

She has served the University of South Carolina Upstate for 33 years in various roles, including Interim Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Vice Chancellor for the USC Upstate Greenville Campus. Prince has been awarded Leadership Greenville Alumni of the Year Award, the Amy K. Stubbs Woman of Achievement in Education Award, Woman Making History Award, one of Greenville’s 50 Most Influential from Greenville Business Magazine, and the ATHENA Award from Greenville Chamber of Commerce.

Russell H. Stall is executive director of Greenville Forward, the organization he created in 2006. Greenville Forward is responsible for making sure that the bold and aggressive dreams of Vision 2025 are accomplished.

Prior to founding Greenville Forward, Russell owned Research Works, a strategic marketing research firm that focused on community development and customer satisfaction research. He has been active in serving Greenville over the years through his board membership with the St. Francis Hospital Foundation, Cancer Society of Greenville County, Project Host Soup Kitchen, Greenville University Center, Greenville Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Greenville Zoo, Metropolitan Arts Council, and Junior League Advisory Council. He has served as Chairman of the United Negro College Fund Gala and as a board member of the Warehouse Theatre.

Jill Rees Kintigh is the Treasurer for Greenville County, a position she has been elected to four times since 2002. Kintigh has served on the club’s Rotary Read-to-Me Committee, Programs Committee, Ethics Committee, and as Chaplain.

She served as treasurer of the Professional Women’s Forum in Greenville. In addition, she completed Leadership Greenville, and has served as treasurer of Professional Women’s Forum of Greenville.  She has served on the Executive Board of Rosewood House of Recovery and as vice president of First Monday in Greenville. She is a member of the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce, Upstate Republican Women’s Club, and Bob Jones University Alumni Association. She was recognized with the Order of the Jessamine.

Philip B. Watson is the co-owner of Harrison Plaza Lighting, Inc., and co-owner of Watson Business Development, Inc. in Greenville. 

Prior to starting Watson Business Development, Inc. and Harrison Plaza Lighting Inc., Watson worked in national and international business development.  He designed and developed consumer product lines that were sold through major retailers in the United, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Europe.

As a member of The Rotary Club of Greenville, Watson has served on the Board of Directors; Club Secretary; Foundation Committee; Holiday Lights committee and numerous other functions.  Watson is a member of Greenville First Baptist Church, Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce, Augusta Road Business Association, and the Lewis Plaza Merchants Association.
