Spartanburg Community College’s FlexStart Classes Offer Full Credit in Fewer Weeks

SPARTANBURG, SC – August 25, 2010 – It’s not too late to register for fall classes at Spartanburg Community College. With SCC’s FlexStart fall terms starting on September 20, 21 and October 6 and 25, beginning or continuing a college education is convenient for students of all ages.
SCC offers Flex terms that are 10 weeks, 7.5 weeks and 5 weeks in length. These terms begin later in the 15-week traditional semester and cover all course materials required, just in less time. FlexStart is ideal for students who prefer to work harder and faster to complete coursework in a shorter timeframe, so they have more time for work, family, and other responsibilities and activities.
“FlexStart offers students the flexibility to manage going to school with other priorities,” said Celia Bauss, SCC registrar. “It’s a great option for students who are juggling work, family and school.”
SCC offers FlexStart classes in English, math, computers, public speaking, accounting, automotive, early childhood development, allied heath sciences and more. Courses are available during the day, evening, weekend and online.
Individuals interested in applying to the College to take FlexStart classes can apply in person at any SCC campus or online at www.sccsc.edu. Registration for FlexStart terms is ongoing at Spartanburg Community College’s central campus, Cherokee County Campus in Gaffney and the Tyger River Campus in Duncan.
