September 17, 2020

Bites Include Ceviche, Roasted Clam Flatbread and Umami Tuna “Bombs”

Tempest, a brand-new upscale seafood restaurant located on historic Market Street, is now offering a midday menu, available on weekdays from 2-5 p.m. and weekends from 3-5 p.m. Created by Chef Partner Jamie Lynch and Regional Culinary Director Adam Hodgson, these small bites will showcase sustainable South Atlantic seafood and are ideal for sharing.

Menu items include Ceviche, featuring local fish and citrus, Umami Tuna “Bombs” with truffle tuna and avocado and Local Shrimp served with bagnoratte sauce. Prepared in the restaurant’s prized Mibrasa charcoal oven, the Roasted Clam Flatbread is baked with confit fennel and elephant garlic.

“Our new midday menu reflects the very best of our culinary team’s inspiration for Tempest, from local seafood caught off the shores of Charleston to distinct charcoal flavors from our Mibrasa oven,” says Chef Jamie Lynch. “We have worked to create casual coastal cuisine that is both innovative and approachable.
