March 16, 2016

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC – Jeff Maggert and Ryan Ruffels have been given sponsors exemptions into the 48th annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event is taking place April 11-17, 2016 over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links.

Stewart Cink, Jason Day, Ernie Els, Bill Haas, Matt Kuchar, Davis Love III, Graeme McDowell, Brandt Snedeker and Boo Weekley, are also slated to compete over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links.

Maggert represents The Sea Pines Resort when he competes in PGA TOUR and Champions TOUR events. He began playing on the Champions TOUR in 2014 and has already earned five wins, including the 2015 US Senior Open Championship. His start at Harbour Town will be his first PGA TOUR start in 2016. The Missouri native will be competing in his 18th RBC Heritage.

Ruffels was born in the United States but moved to Victoria, Australia after his Dad, a native Aussie, received a job there. The 17-year-old turned pro this January, making him one of the youngest pros in the world. He has made the cut at both PGA TOUR events he has played in, the 2016 Farmers Insurance Open and the 2016 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He competed in 2014 Players Amateur, in Bluffton, South Carolina as a member of the Golf Australia National Team.

Daily tickets and weeklong badges for this year’s tournament are now on sale online at www.rbcheritage.com or by calling the tournament office at (843) 671-2448.
